Biography

Sadna creates her glass art pieces using a kiln as well as a torch. She fuses and casts glass sculptures, functional pieces, and wall art using a kiln with COE 90 glass, and creates sculptures using a torch with borosilicate glass. She also creates pieces combining kilnwork and torchwork (aka lampwork or flamework).

Her fascination with creating glass art began over 30 years ago when she first took a stained glass workshop at a local college. For many years, while raising children and tending to a career as a software engineer, her passion for art & glass was put on the back burner. In 2005, she started learning to fuse glass in the kiln and her love for glass received a new spark. Since then she has continued to refine her techniques and expand her creativity.
